A registered office is an office that has been registered with the state as the Registering Authority. This registration will need to be done with the Registrar of Companies/Competing authorities during the formation of your US company. 
 
At the physical location of your registered office, you will need to keep all of the corporation’s legal documents in the event a lawsuit requires them. Additionally, this will be the place where any process of service will be served. 

State law requires that this address be a physical location and must have a registered agent present during regular business hours to receive paperwork on behalf of the company. Here are 4 simple steps to start your registered office in the United States 

Step One: To start a registered office in the United States, we need to identify you as an entrepreneur, and your US entity. Furthermore, we will have to understand your type of business activities. We can also assist you to determine which services would be a great add-on for your office address, such as a local phone number.  

Step Two: We will prepare your Office Rental Agreement for you to sign. Standard conditions apply, and you will have to inform us of any public source where you will list our address as your business address. The contract can be cancelled every 3 months. 

Step Three: You can start using the registered office address within approximately one business day! It might take a few days to activate any local phone number or to produce your Business Sign which can be placed in our lobby. 

Step Four: Depending on your instructions we can forward all mail on a weekly basis, or as soon as any letter has been received. We can either scan all letters or forward them via registered mail.  Any call forwarding can be done to any international (landline) number.
